Established in 1997, Ethos Ltd. is a professional services company whose over-riding aim is to provide our clients with the necessary support required to achieve energy, environmental and quality related targets and objectives through training, auditing, certification, and inspection.

We have three full time employees and have the ability to flex up our workforce, demand permitting. John Harrington BSc (hons), MEng, MIEI has an academic and practical background in the effective implementation and operation of Energy, Environmental and Quality Management Systems that comply with ISO50001, ISO140001 and ISO90001. He has outstanding management systems experience and has excellent energy efficiency technical skills. Karina Ryan (B.A., M.B.S.), company director has an academic and practical background in business and economics.

John Harrington has carried out over two hundred and fifty energy audits at small, medium and large industries, in a number of sectors, over the past ten years. John focuses on reducing energy costs whilst improving or maintaining the quality of products manufactured/supplied.

In a recent study conducted over an eighteen month period and based on energy audits at sixty one organisations, John found that over the first three months clients achieved average savings of 6.5% and over the following twelve to fifteen months achieved average savings of 15.5%.

John is  a qualified Non-Domestic Building Energy Rating Assessor and is registered with SEAI. He is also a Display Energy Rating Assessor and is registered with SEAI. Furthermore, he has carried out a number of renewable energy feasibility studies for commercial and domestic clients. Our team specialise in solar hot water, solar photovoltaic, heat pumps and micro wind generation system feasibility studies. We carry out detailed on-site analysis, use proprietary software and guide clients through the planning, design, installation and commissioning stages of their renewable energy project. John has a passion for renewable energy technologies and uses solar hot-water, photovoltaic and a micro wind turbine power generation system in his premises.
